ChaTime

From milk teas to smoothies, there is something for everyone to enjoy from ChaTime in the Campus Estates Shopping Centre (35 Harvard Rd). Their store is full of great vibes, amazing drinks, and lovely staff that make the experience more than just a shopping trip. We had a chance to try their brown sugar pearl milk tea, ube coconut smoothie, qq mango juice, and their amazing tiramisu.

Pairing perfectly with the Super Toast Sgt. Pineapple Slims, these joints brought a giggly, upbeat vibe to the room while we sipped our treats. This strain is citrusy-sweet, making it the perfect partner to our teas, smoothies, and juices.

Alternative pairings for these munchies would be BLKMKT’s Blk Caviar (5×0.5g), Pixel’s AK-47 (3.5g), and Carmel’s Sugar Factory (7g). These strains are high in limonene, myrcene, and/or caryophyllene. These terpenes interact with the brain’s CB1 and CB2 receptors, leading to a more “munchie-focussed” high. These terpenes are also in the foods that you know and love. Did you know that caryophyllene is most commonly found in black pepper and cloves, causing their spicy, peppery flavour?

Why These Strains Hit

These strains are all high in caryophyllene, myrcene, and/or limonene, which causes them to trigger the munchies.

If the munchies aren’t what you’re looking for, search for strains high in humulene. While research on the effects is still early and limited, many users report that strains high in humulene do not cause the high munchie effects that the terpenes listed above create.
