About Matchbox Cannabis
Locally Grown. Family Owned. Community Driven.
When it comes to cannabis, we know you’ve got options. That’s why we keep it simple: high-quality, Canadian-grown products, a welcoming space, and honest service from people who care.
Matchbox Cannabis is a family-owned and operated dispensary built on passion, integrity, and community. Whether you’re a long-time enthusiast or just starting to explore, our team is here to guide you with care, so you can shop with confidence and feel good about your choices.
Who We Are
Founded by Vlad Parkanski, Matchbox Cannabis is a family-run business rooted in decades of retail experience and a genuine love for the plant. Drawing on years of success in brick-and-mortar ventures, Vlad and his family launched Matchbox to bring their signature care and integrity to the cannabis space.
What began in 2021 as a single shop with just four team members has grown into a dynamic crew of 25+ across five Ontario locations — and we’re just getting started.
"Treat everyone how you'd want to be treated."
That's our core belief — and it shows in every conversation, every recommendation, and every customer experience.

Our Commitment to Community
Cannabis is just one part of what we care about. At Matchbox, we believe in giving back to the communities that support us.
Through our seasonal food drives, we’ve partnered with food banks across Ontario, including:
- Sai Dham Food Bank (Toronto)
- Sault Ste. Marie Community Soup Kitchen
- Richmond Hill Community Food Bank
In 2024, our customers helped us collect:
- Over 2,000 non-perishable items
- More than $1,300 in grocery gift cards
With the support of our amazing community and partners like Weed Me, Dyvvi, and 1Spliff, we’re making a real difference in the fight against food insecurity.
