Hi! My name is Mel, and I am the assistant store manager at Matchbox Guelph. I have been in the industry since I turned 19, and what started as a way to enjoy cannabis with friends turned into a passion. Without even realizing it, cannabis became less about “getting high” and more about enjoying the experience with friends.

Researching strains and exploring genetics became some of my favourite pastimes. I realized that customers deserve the same kind of thoughtful approach, and shouldn’t have to take a shot on products completely unaware of how it will affect them. I may ask you a million questions, but it’s just to help find the strain that is right for you and your needs.

You may wonder why my recommendations mean more than other budtender’s. It’s simple: The last thing I ever want to do is send you home with something I am not confident in. I spend my spare time researching and trying different strains to really understand what is out there on the market and what resonates with the different vibes people are hunting in their day to day lives.
